It's the time of the year to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. Its also the time to reflect on what has been achieved over the past 12 months. I will leave what we can look forward to over the coming 12 months for my next blog in the new year.

We have seen a real transformation of the Deedmore area with the first phase of development and the external improvement works to surrounding properties carried out by Whitefriars. I know that this level of activity has caused a great deal of disruption for residents, particularly with the mud on the roads, and I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding.

In the region of 100 families have now moved and settled into their new home and I wish you them all good times and happy memories for the future.

This has also been the first year of life without the 'NDC' programme and the Moat House Community Trust is continuing to successfully build on the foundations that were established. This was evidenced by a fantastic turnout to the recent 'One Voice Conference' and 'Christmas event'. Well done to the Trust, Community Groups and  Partners in making it a great funday for all.

I am in danger of boring you by listing out all the things that have happened over the past 12 months so will stop there, but it goes without saying there are many things that have taken place and are ongoing in the area that i have not mentioned. So if you want to find out more, and even better if you want to get involved, I would encourage you to contact me or any of the following:
Finally, I have listed my Top 3 rumours from this year:
  1. The Developers have walked away - UNTRUE
  2. Whitefriars will no longer repair my home because it will be demolished in the future - UNTRUE
  3. There will be no compensation because the money has dried up - UNTRUE
There will always be rumours, the majority of which will be completely untrue but some may have a degree of truth, so if you do hear any please contact me or my team on 02476 587065.

Finally, Finally - I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hello!!

This is my first ever blog so for those of you who are hardened and experienced bloggers please forgive me for this feeble attempt and hope future blogs will improve - polite suggestions welcome.

Well, after months of hard work with my colleagues, from BKW (Bovis Homes, Keepmoat Homes, Westbury Partnership), Homes and Communities Agency, Coventry City Council and Moat House Community Trust, we will finally be signing the legal agreements this week for the next phase of 230 homes. Keepmoat Homes will be starting work in the next few weeks.

The next edition of Spirit Quarterly will be delivered to all homes in the area next week. There is lots of news about what is happening in the area and hopefully address some of the rumours that are circulating within the Community. A big thank you to the residents editorial panel ( Yes - that's you Sheila, Vicki, Janet, Ray, Dave, John B, John S and Sandie)  for all the hard work you have put into creating another great newsletter.

I will be posting 'blogs' regularly about what is happening and hopefully addressing any rumours out there so please, please any rumours you hear (doesn't matter how silly they may sound) please post and I will tell you whether they are true or not. Also let me know if there is anything else you want to hear about.

First blog over and looking  forward to many more
